I have loved the Moomins, created by Tove Jansson, since I was a little girl and read Finn Family Moomintroll. This year is the 65th anniversary of the publication of the first Moomins book and I wanted to commemorate this  before the end of the year.

I also really like the Polish animated Moomins series and have the complete set on DVD. It has been so cold and snowy here recently and I thought that this episode was very appropriate.
