september fairs

This month I have exhibited at a couple of lovely fairs, Sutton Vintage and Arts Fair and the Birmingham Vintage Festival. You might assume that these events would be quite similar as they both featured vintage and handmade traders but actually they were very different.

The Sutton fair was set in the regal surroundings of Sutton Town Hall and had a staggering 70 plus stalls plus musical entertainment and even a bridal boudoir room. I didn’t get much of a chance to mooch around the fair as I was pretty well run off my feet all day, soo many visitors to the fair! Here are a few photos that I managed to take of my stall and some of the other traders that caught my eye (Bits Bobs N Bunting, Lulabelles Vintage Parlour, Milliefiori, Maria Wigley and Jade Devall Designs).

In contrast the Birmingham Vintage Festival was held in the sparse and urban A.E.Harris building (a different kind of vintage) and had a relaxed, friendly feel with live music from The Nortons, yummy food provided by Chitty’s Cake and Vees Delicatessen, coffee by the Urban Coffee Company and even face painting. I had a stall at the the first of these fairs back in June and I was keen to continue supporting this new Birmingham venture by Rickie Josen. It was great to catch up with other returning traders, meet some new ones and chat with customers. Here are a few pics of the day (by Hardluck Hotel, more can be found here).
