Halloween may have come and gone and it’s too early for Christmas but that’s no reason to have a home without decorations. I pretty much have some kind of seasonal adornments up all year round. I relish each season and the changes each one brings. I do tend to save decorations so my collections grow and grow. A few years ago I made some paper leaves from my children’s paintings and last year me and my daughter made some cut paper decorations and both of these projects have been used again this year. New this year I made some little leaf paper garlands and have strung these across a window and I’ve also made another window display from tissue paper leaves and some cellophane that wrapped a bouquet of flowers. Every year I collect various leaves, twigs, conkers, acorns and fir cones and arrange these on shelves and in bowls.
I have also made some more permanent leaf decorations and here are a few Autumn inspired decorations and items that are on my wish list – Â leafy ribbon scarf, stoneware cups, wool acorns, crocheted garland, Autumn daisies brooch, felted bowl.
So cool papercuts! It’s always very heartwarming to see thing what mother and daughter have made together.
Love your papercuts, especially the squirrels! I have a dish in the bedroom filled with fir cones, crystals, leaves & feathers.
So pleased you like the paper cuts….I’m inspired to make some more, Christmassy ones perhaps.
