I do love the sea and last week we went to the beautiful Llyn Peninsula and stayed in a little cottage near the village of Aberdaron. The beach at Aberdaron had rock pools at low tide and good waves for boogie boarding. On our last day, just before we headed home, we were able to walk the length of the beach and watch the “white horses”. Nearby was the golden, sandy beach of Porth Oer perfect for padling and making sandcastles.

Our cottage was down a winding lane banked with old hedges and wild flowers, it was just so peaceful. All along the little lanes of Llyn and on the cliffs there were wild flowers and trees covered with lichen.

It was such a wonderfully relaxing holiday and I feel refreshed from breathing deep the fresh sea air.
