My subscription issue #7 of The Simple Things magazine arrived this morning and it’s inspired this blog about the simple things we’ve enjoyed this Saturday. I’ve had a quick flick through the magazine and as always it’s packed with lots of lovely articles and ideas. Rather than read it all in one go though I like to save The Simple Things for special ‘me’ moments.

This morning the kids were happy drawing and playing with lego and gogo crazy bones.

These little things caught my attention while walking the dog this morning, a sign of Spring, interesting paint colours and textures, a miniature forest.

This afternoon I pottered in the garden (it wasn’t raining or snowing, yay!) The plants are slowly stirring after their winter sleep.

As well as the growing plants heralding the coming of Spring the birds were busy and the air was full of birdsong.

A simple candlelit supper and a scrummy raspberry cheesecake made by my son was a sweet conclusion to the day.
