This weekend I have been living in my little house for 16 years. Me and Keith were renting a flat together and on completing my degree we decided the time was right to buy a house together. Since we’ve been here our family has changed and grown. We moved in with a cat (Polly) and a dog (Mina) now both sadly departed and greatly missed, had our son Ezekiel in 2000 followed by our daughter Eloise in 2004. Three years ago we rescued a little black and white kitten (Haru) and last year adopted a 5 year old dog (Jack).

I love my little house and rather than move we have extended to accommodate our growing family and changing needs. We had a loft conversion in 2003 and last winter I had a studio built in the garden.

Here are a few pics taken this weekend of all the rooms in the house and a couple  of the garden. These are a snapshot of our home as it is at the moment.

Later in the Summer when we have decked by the studio and done a bit of internal decorating we’re planning an open house and garden for friends, family and neighbours to celebrate living here for 16 years .
