Last month I ran some workshops and one of the things we made were some simple note books and I thought I would share this tutorial for making them. They’re easy peasy to make and can be customised in lots of ways.
Equipment & materials
Scissors
Hole punch
Glue
Plain white paper (or whatever paper you want for the notebook pages)
Plain coloured paper for the note book cover
Patterned paper for decoration
Pens
Yarn or string to tie the notebook
Technique
Select your plain paper (not too many sheets as it needs to fit in the hole punch) and one sheet of coloured paper. It doesn’t matter what size paper you use to make the notebook as long as all the pieces are the same size, I used A4 paper.
Place the coloured paper at the back of the pile of paper and making sure the paper is aligned fold in half and punch a hole on the fold at the top and bottom.
Thread a length of yarn through the holes and tie in a bow along the spine of the book.
You could decorate the cover with a mix of writing and glued on paper decorations.
Or you could use cut-out letters.
