What you will needFelt (I used pink and blue pure wool felt).

Embroidery thread (I used three colours)

Embroidery needle

Scissors

Stuffing

Print egg pattern on A4 paper egg pattern

 

Technique

Cut out the pattern, pin to your felt and cut out four pieces. I used two different colours of felt. To create some of the decorative details on the egg cut out small shapes from the felt.

Attach these to the egg pieces with embroidery stitches.

Then embroider some other details.

Lazy daisy stitch.

French knot.

Now join all four sections of the egg together using blanket stitch.

Leave a small gap to add the stuffing. Add this in small amounts.

Before you close up the gap completely you will need to add a piece of ribbon. Cut a length of approximately 20cm and fold in half.

Slot this in the opening and sew it in closing the gap.

Your egg decoration is now ready to hang up.
